We have an immediate need for a Senior Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be well-versed in the deployment, configuration, integration, support, and administration of Cisco Wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure solutions and Cisco Secure ACS access control systems in both appliance and server forms. Significant recent experience with Cisco WLAN devices and Cisco Secure ACS systems is required, along with a track record of proven expertise in the implementation and integration of complex, large-scale network configurations using Cisco network infrastructure equipment. CCNA (or higher) certification is required. CCSP and CCNP certifications are strongly preferred. Experience with AirDefense systems is also strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
Design, document, install, configure, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable, highly-automated, and secure technical solutions in support of the companys wireless network infrastructure and access control systems. Work as a member of a geographically diverse team of experts to implement and support large-scale network security solutions utilizing numerous technologies across a global enterprise environment. Create scripts, employ tools, develop automation techniques, and pursue ideas to increase the manageability, efficiency, capability, capacity, and security of network security devices and systems. Analyze and assess distributed network security infrastructure systems and identify gaps leading to potential improvements. Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of AAA, RADIUS, TACACS, Wireless network security, and Network Admission Control (NAC) to cross-organizational project teams working to implement technology solutions for the combined enterprise. Create detailed component-level documentation including functional requirements, implementation plans, network diagrams, communications diagrams, configuration documents, support documentation, training materials, and project documents. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer science, along with at least 7 years of experience in the installation, testing, maintenance and integration of network systems and network security solutions, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience. Expert knowledge and experience in the use of TCP/IP-based network protocols and applications. Expert knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN systems and security features. Expert knowledge of AAA, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1x/NAC, and access control systems. Strong knowledge and experience in the areas of IP routing, switching, and load-balancing. Moderate experience with network security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Familiarity with network automation techniques and solutions. Significant experience with enterprise networks spanning multiple business functions and geographic locations. Experience with system administration processes and practices on both UNIX and Windows systems. Strong background in network and/or network security systems, including familiarity with products from leading vendors. May require ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs and work in overhead areas. Requires flexible schedule, with occasional after-hours and weekend work. Some travel may be required.
