Description
The candidate considered for this position should meet the following qualifications:

Design, configure and maintain InfoSpace's Windows server infrastructure

Provide 3rd tier support for the production site and services - troubleshoot technical problems as they arise, design and implement long term solutions.

Performance and capacity planning: monitor, reconfigure and tune hardware, software, and storage for performance improvements and future scalability.

Plan & Participate in scheduled off-hours service outage upgrades.

Work closely with network engineers and developers providing support and technical expertise

Perform and document system and storage operations processes and procedures including installation and testing of system upgrades, fail over, and configuration documentation

Communicate issues clearly to business and technical groups within the company.

Provides technical leadership in design and administration decisions for Infospace company properties, storage, and systems.

Facilitate the planning of system and storage features upgrades.

Enforce system and network security procedures.

Experience/Skills
Skills, Education and Experience:
4+ years system administration & architecture experience in a large-scale Win2k, Win2k3 environment.

Understanding and experience in SAN, NAS environments, including HP EVA, HDS, NetAPP, Brocade, Emulex, Qlogic, etc.

Active Directory experience in large-scale Win2k environments.

Experience in a geographically distributed environment preferred.

Understanding and experience in Microsoft Clustering environments.

Thorough understanding and experience of network protocols, routing and switching concepts, DNS, WINS, and DHCP.

Experience in developing and maintaining scripting environments. (perl, shell, vbscript, windows scripting host)

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work both as a member of a group and as an individual contributor.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Participate in shared on-call schedule.
