Description
NewVectors, a subsidiary of Altarum, is looking for a professional Senior Systems Engineer for our office in Ann Arbor, MI.

As Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a technical lead on project teams involved in developing, implementing, and executing agent-based systems, simulations, and analysis of complex systems. Authoring journal articles, preparing and delivering presentations at technical conferences. Conceptualizing and assisting in the development of proposals.

Qualified candidates must have the following skill set: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical discipline plus a minimum of 8 years experience. Experience in artificial life, non-linear systems, biomimetic control, or distributed artificial intelligence/multi-agent-based systems (including fine-grained emergent paradigms) required. Experience with theory of chaotic systems or statistical physics preferred. Strong object-oriented design experience with understanding of object-oriented programming languages required. Must be proficient in JAVA and XML. Must have excellent oral skills and writing ability. Must have the ability to work with a team of software engineers in a research environment. U.S. citizenship is required.
