Description
Senior Systems Programmer - IDMS

Responsibilities:
-Install, test, maintain, document, and provide high level technical support for IDMS database systems software and supporting tools software.
-Lead software product evaluation and testing.
-Ensure IDMS system availability as a top priority.
-Establish, test, and maintain disaster recovery processes.
-Provide on-call support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Requirements:
-A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
-Five or more years relevant experience.
-Strong organizational, leadership, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills.
-Mentor/training background.
-Product installation - IDMS and associated supporting products.
-Tuning IDMS and related products for performance-related issues.
-Problem determination for IDMS and associated supporting products.
-Strong experience in a data sharing and Sysplex environment.
-MVS, JCL, JES, VTAM, SMP/E, MVS utilities and structures.
-Effective in team setting or as individual contributor.df-tc
