Description
This position is responsible for the immediate need to design, develop and implement a front-end process for the current Chubb Specialty Lines insurance renewal application. The candidate will be part of a small team who will, along with the Project Manager, guide and mentor the team on completing the assigned work. The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for the solution architecture of the Rules Engine of a major new project. The candidate will work closely with the Architecture Office, developers and Project Manager to ensure the integrity of the platformâ??s vision. The primary function is to ensure that the requirements are fully analyzed and translated into designs that are in alignment with the client direction and requirements. Secondary responsibilities include working with the team to make sure that the deliverables are completed with quality and providing support to resolve issues that may arise. Knowledge of and experience in developing rules-based application as well as the selection of software to be purchased or built inhouse are required. This candidate must also have strong technical knowledge of client-server applications including dotNet, Java, Java Script. Experience with SQL Server and MQ Series is a plus.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Candidate must have experience with developing applications using rules-based software such as Blaize, ILOG. Must be able to develop technical specifications independently and posses strong organizational, analytical and customer service skills as well as strong communication skills. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as work as part of a team. The candidate must be results oriented as demonstrated through adherence to project timelines and risk mitigation. As the candidate will be designing, developing and implementing technical solutions to business requirements, must be knowledgeable of Systems Development Life Cycle principles and deliverables. The individual will be participating in all aspects of the development life cycle, including gathering technical requirements, development, testing, and implementation. Is also responsible for the coordination of application changes with team members and other groups as necessary. This position will be responsible for recommending and implementing procedural improvements and identifying areas of opportunity for technical solutions.
Knowledge of insurance is a plus.
- Experience with rules-based software such as ILOG or Blaize is essential
- Provide leadership throughout all phases of the systems development lifecycle
- Provide critical analysis of business requirements
- Define the technical requirements based on the business requirements
- Create and support the high level and detailed estimates
- Assist in the completion of deliverables in all phases as assigned
- Assume a leadership role on the development team
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation factors
