Job Description of Senior Technical Developer (Financial Modules)

Rate: 72.46
Senior professional level role involved in the full systems life-cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementation, maintaining deferred revenue recognition process for Volume Channel Release 3 project. This individual should have a functional and technical understanding of all Oracle Applications modules including Oracle Accounts Receivables, Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Accounts Payables and preferably Oracle Workflow. In addition candidate will need to be proficient at modifying custom reports and forms using Developer 2000 as well as make corrections to PL/SQL programs. Successful candidate will have a solid background in systems analysis, design and understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
The Oracle applications support candidate will be a confident communicator, has the ability to work under pressure and be a team player. They should have the ability to liaise with both administrators and senior management where necessary. Ability to multi-task and prioritise is important to this role in order to meet tight deadlines.
5+ years of relevant industry experience in an applications design and
programming environment, proven delivery of products/applications in a diverse mix of business
areas, self-starter.

Some of the duties include,

Collaborate with the business to ensure software and applications are meeting the needs of employees and potentially external clients
Draft design documents for all new software applications
Document code consistently throughout the development and/or improvement process
Maintain extensive documentation for all projects with relevant resources
Design solutions based upon business requirements and user specification
Interface at an intermediate level with Business Analysts and other ITS groups during the design, development and testing processes
Respond promptly and professionally to resource requirements
Review, repair, enhance and develop code
Strive to be up-to-date in best practices, development methods and technologies
Participate in process improvement at all times
Offer support to other team members and mentor
