Description
Senior Technical Engineer

. Strong interpersonal and communication, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing support situations.
. Ability to be responsive and deal with change in business, technical, and personnel requirements.
. Comfortable working with multiple projects at once; shifting between tasks quickly/without instruction.
. Able to work independently and to provide status updates.
. Responsible for identifying, defining, and modeling the technical infrastructure based on the application architecture for new functionality or new application development. This includes the integrated hardware, software, and communications components that provide the technical platform for the application solution and supporting data structures.
. Works with application engineer and Technical Services to provide a technology solution. A senior level person is the most experienced, with the widest range of experience in various size and types of projects that are relevant to the role. Typically 5 to 8 or more years in the role would be expected.
. Environmental setup, code drops/reconciliations, testing strategy, project timelines, troubleshooting, and deployment planning.
. Serves as single point of contact between FFBA project teams, SCM team, AI team, C&I, and Tech Services team. (This includes on-shore and off-shore teams.).
. Works with the project requirements to determine the services that will be required for Autosys, MQ Series, Informatica, UDB & Sybase Database, QAS, Websphere, Actuate, Winsign, Business Objects, Siebel, as well as general infrastructure support.
. Develop and deliver estimates for the environment and relations activities.
. Works with development, ITS testing, SCM, App Support, & App Engineers on driving and evolving better process.
. Monitors project budgets for SCM and AITE projects.

Experience/Skills
. Development experience (C/++, Java (J2SE/J2EE), etc.)
. Software configuration management and environment management skills desired.
. Knowledge of/experience with a source code management tool (any: PVCS, cvs, etc.)
. Familiarity with Autosys, Visual Basic, Informatica, SQL, UNIX scripting, Business objects, database objects, Actuate, MQ Series, MQ Message Broker, Websphere, OpenMake.
