Description
Responsible for detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Provides team or technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. Performs as technical lead on software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software components. Documents design decisions, adheres to existing process guidelines, adheres to audit guidelines, oversees development of software components, mentors junior developers, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversight for outsourced design and development activities to meet current business and systems needs, project delivery and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and ensures programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and implementation adhere to corporate requirements and standards. Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
  • Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.
    Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or some other technical area which provides analysis and programming experience
  • 2 Years experience in Application development
  • ETL experience in Linux/Unix environment leading development efforts
  • Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, C, Pro*C, Korn shell scripting
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Area-dependent developer certification (e.g. Sun Certified Java Programmer/Developer, application vendor-specific certification).
  • 5 Years experience in Application development, design, architecture and support of ETL applications and environment
  • 2 Years experience in People management
  • 1 Year experience in Senior Developer on IT Projects
  • Perl, Gentran, Service Flow, VB and Java experience helpful
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Lean techniques and Agile project methodology
  • Experience in leading third party/consulting, or off-shore developmentdf-tc
