Summary


As a Senior Program Manager, your primary goal is delivering the product on-time and on-budget. As the owner of the requirements, you drive the logical architecture of the product. A significant part of this process also includes usability and user experience concerns.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Project Management

    • Manage master project schedule.

    • Drive risk management process.

    • Facilitate communication and negotiation within the team.

    • Track progress and managing project status reporting.

    • Manage resource allocation


  • Solution Architecture

    • Drive overall solution design

    • Manage the solution requirements

    • Manage the solution scope and critical trade-off decisions


  • Process Assurance

    • Drive process quality assurance

    • Define and recommend process improvements

  • Salary: 59-95K/year!

  • Relocation. We will reimburse relocation expenses for the right candidate

  • Dental Insurance. The company pays 100% of the cost for the employees' coverage and 75% of the additional cost for adding the employees' spouse and other dependents.

  • Life Insurance, AD&D, Short Term and Long Term Disability. The company pays 100% of the cost for a package of benefits that includes life insurance coverage for employee, spouse, and dependents. Employees have the option of purchasing additional life insurance coverage under the same plan. Insurance coverage for AD&D, short term disability, and long term disability is also provided

  • 401K Retirement Plan. Employees may begin participating in the 401K plan immediately. Matching contributions equal to your salary reduction contributions are limited to a maximum of 3% per year. Employees are 100% vested after one year of service

  • Eat, Drink and be Merry! Soda, coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, and iced tea are free for all employees. Breakfasts and lunches are provided once a month for all employees!

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with analytic emphasis in either mathematics, computer science, computer information systems, accounting, or business

  • 5+ years experience project managing commercial off-the-shelf software (as opposed to internal software
    development projects)

  • Proven track record in software development, notably software design and development processes and experience with programming languages

  • Experience developing software for the Windows operating system and Web-based technologies


Major Pluses To Have

  • Property and Casualty Industry experience in the areas of claims, personal lines, policy, rating, and underwriting

  • Exposure to claims, rating, underwriting, personal lines, and policy

  • Experience developing in VB.Net or C#

  • Experience in HTML, ASP.NET, server-side, and client-side script for browsers and web services

  • Experience using XML

  • Experience with database systems, SQL language, and database design
