Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Release Manager for a 7 month to longer contract. The company is located conveniently off I5 and I84 in NE Portland. The Senior Technical Release Manager will manage projects for all releases, including scheduling, coordination, and documentation according to the standard project life cycle methodologies. This role requires strong technical experience with application development, standard testing methodologies, and business client interaction. It also requires the ability to manage the projects which deliver the releases and other internal projects as needed.The Senior Technical Release Manager facilitates the development, test, and deployment activities of the ECS and EDW teams’ releases by providing a central coordination point between development, system administration, Quality Assurance, and the business clients throughout the release process. Responsibilities include:• Determine scope for releases in coordination with technical and business resources. • Work with the Business Analyst to ensure that business requirements are properly documented, using standard templates. Interface with clients to ensure requirements are understood by development teams. • Work with development and system administration teams to map out code releases, including understanding interdependencies within the coding project and impacts to other projects. • Provide coordination of the development, test, and production deployment of items in all releases. • Provide coordination with QA to ensure requirements are documented and assigned to a release. Work with QA to ensure appropriate test cases are developed to validate requirements. • Coordinate the use of test environments for QA validation and user acceptance testing. • Provide single point of contact for user acceptance testing for all release activity • Produce release notes which accurately reflect the content delivered, including appropriate approvals and test documentation. • Maintain release strategy documentation.
