Project Hire-Position is for only 6 months.

The senior programmer-analyst for the Minors & Mail Log project must be close to self-sufficient in almost every aspect of the Project Life Cycle and highly skilled in the S-PA should also be comfortable as either a highly integrated team member, or as a project team the .NET Object Oriented (OO) based language. Though capable of operating as an independent resource lead, for maintenance or new development projects. The S-PA should be able to provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team. The Sr. Programmer-Analyst must be able to acquire adequate business knowledge in a timely manner for the applications and projects for which they are responsible, and be able to aggressively keep personal technical skills up-to-date. The S-PA must continuously work on building strong relationships with technical and non-technical cast and contractors, inside and outside the department. It is expected that the candidate will demonstrate thorough familiarity and real-world experience with Programmer-Analyst requirements including:
  • Technical requirements gathering and documentation (including designs and design documentation).
  • System implementation and end-user training.
  • Project Life Cycle -- from Requirements to Roll-Out. Must be competent to work on even the most complex aspects of most phases of the PLC with minimal instruction and guidance, up to and including management of medium to large enhancement and/or new development projects.
  • Object Oriented coding principles and best practices in Net.
  • Thorough knowledge of database design and development.
  • Thorough knowledge of system architecture including such elements as: network structure and constraints, file data and web server environments, operating systems processes and scripting, security and data encryption, archival procedures, batch processing, interface design and implementation, and disaster recovery; as well as programming skills, best practices, and framework development
  • Working independently, as part of a tightly knit team, or leading a maintenance or project team as a Technical/Project Lead.
  • Able to multi-task as required and work on and/or oversee the support of multiple applications.
  • Providing creative and innovative solutions as required while maintaining assigned priorities and completing tasks in a timely mannerdf-tc
