Description
Responsible for overseeing the design of technical systems solutions within the enterprise. Major areas of focus are: systems administration, database administration, and application security. Ensures effective design of solutions through collaboration with various functions within Enterprise Architecture and application security. Also, leads the collaboration efforts with the service providers (in-sourced and/or outsourced) to ensure effective development and implementation of the designed systems architecture standards. Orchestrates the necessary communication and processes needed to ensure that enterprise application architecture direction and strategies are implemented based upon Disney?s stated direction. Provides this set of functions through the utilization of existing IT Application Architecture & Planning processes and procedures, tools, etc. Responsible for reviewing transition plans for the introduction of all new technologies and to facilitate the necessary supplier interfaces and plans for the transition of these new technologies. Works with the IT application architects and technology strategists as appropriate to develop and maintain the IT Enterprise Application Architecture strategy and works with the supplier(s) to develop their information technology plan that addresses Disney?s application architecture and application security needs in the most cost effective manner.

Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate should have 3+ years of SAP basis systems management managing multiple 800gb+ databases.
  • Possesses detailed knowledge of several specialized skills ? (Svc Del - Broad SAP knowledge across multiple disciplines).
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and ensure effective resolution to problems.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures and standards and insures quality compliance.
  • Knowledge of ABAP a plus.
  • Work under general direction -typically
    independently.

    Desired Qualifications:
  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology or Business related field
  • Experience in IBM AIX operating system and management of software in an IBM HACMP clustered environment.
  • SAP Basis experience in multiple SAP applications running on AIX/DB2.
  • Database management experience in DB2 v8. Experience must be in a productive setting with a very large database 800gb+.
  • Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
