Description
San Diego company is looking for a Senior Technical Writer that can work with the developers and document the systems. Initital responsibilites will include:

- Documenting a formalized methodology to gathering requirements to maintain operational integrity of an application in production.
- Produce in conjunction with a technical resource a formalized design and documentation template.
- Produce in conjunction with a technical resource a formalized design
review process.
- Produce in conjunction with a staff of technical resources formalized design standards.
- Produce in conjunction with a staff of technical resources formalized development and coding Standards
- Produce in conjunction with a technical resource formalized policies and procedures document.

General duties will include day-to-day interaction with technical
resources to produce documentation on architecture, design, development,
and implementation of complex development and maintenance initiatives
centralized around a Web based infrastructure. This infrastructure is
AIX, Oracle and mainframe based utilizing J2EE and MQ for a communications
infrastructure.

Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of 6 years experience as a senior software technical writer. The ability to understand and produce technical documents based on software and hardware systems, as well as dealing with technical engineers on a daily basis is required.
