About the position:The Senior Technology Analyst will be working with the Architecture and Development group to directly participate in re-architecture of internal applications used by the global research and investment group. Functioning in a highly collaborative environment, candidate must have a strong background and understanding of technical architecture as this position will be working with architects and developers to design, develop, maintain, and support services that will be deployed in the migration effort towards SOA (Service Oriented Architecture). Responsibilities include: participation in the development of internal applications developed in Java, .net and C++ that are based on both Unix and Windows platforms, evaluation of new technologies, proof of concepts and prototyping, defining best practices and guidelines within SOA space, and provision of technical expertise to the application teams.df-tc

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:• Minimum 5 years experience in C, C++, .net, or Java programming• Web Services development (SOAP, REST)• WS* standards• Messaging (EMS, RV, JMS)• Unix (HP/UX, Linux, or Solaris) environment and command scripts• Data management, including operational uses of RDBMS, ETL operations, business intelligence data management, and data distribution/ caching strategiesPreferred (not required):• Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus technology • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science or related strongly preferred Other skills:• Analytical/problem-solving skills• Strong oral and written communication, including ability to develop and maintain relationships remotely• Solid commitment to working as a team• Project management skills• Self-motivation, with the initiative to do research and solve problems independently• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
