Role: Senior Technology Applications Engineer

Assignment Capsule
As a Senior Technology Applications Engineer you will: perform coding, testing, implementation and support tasks in order to develop, maintain, and enhance computer solutions for business needs. You will also act as a group leader, partnering with project managers to transform business requirements into actual designs.

  • Interpret production trends and abnormalities in order to determine root causes
  • Answer incoming customer calls, resolving specific questions about specific applications
  • Create process improvements for various business segments
  • Mentor entry and junior level associates
  • Participate in Humana's Disaster Recovery exercises

Role Essentials
  • Must possess MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and have work experience. Alternatively, must possess BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and have 5 or more years of work experience.
  • Must have experience working in one or more of the following - C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C++ orCOBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL orSQL, Oracle
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access


Role Desirables
  • Previous experience with IBM Mainframes
  • Working knowledge of Web development, Style Sheets and Crystal Reports
