Description
Team Technology is assisting our client in recruiting a Senior Technology Architect. This is a 'hands-on' technical position. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of Messaging technologies with a specific focus on Microsoft Exchange server version 4.0 - 2003 and related client applications. The position will be responsible for architecting and supporting all facets of messaging including email delivery, routing replication, groups, routing connectors, smtp protocol.
Define enterprise wide policies, standards, and procedures for information technology.
Investigate emerging Messaging / Collaboration technologies and recommend future direction in this area for the enterprise.
Support enterprise Messaging and Directory Services environment.
Provide and support, customer service and training for company employees relating to technology usage.
Coordinate integration efforts with application developers, software and hardware systems vendors, project managers, hosting providers, and communicate those efforts to IT management.
Carry out other duties as directed by IT Manager.
Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Experience/Skills
Four-year degree in related engineering field .
12 years experience with computers and networks in a Corporate IT environment with an enterprise wide focus.
Administration and/or development experience in various Network Operating System environments.
Technical Infrastructure Architecture design
8 years experience with various messaging systems and technologies, emphasis on Microsoft Exchange 5.5 - 2003
Contract negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Project management skills.
