Description
SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day functions of all company locations as they relate to telecommunications. This position will also coordinate, maintain and update communication needs of corporate employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitors all telecommunications equipment, including voicemail and PBXs.

2. Performs administration, moves and changes to PBX and Electronic Key Telephone systems.

3. Performs remote and on-site diagnosis technical problems as they relate to telecommunications systems and services.

4. Works with Local Exchange Companies and Long Distance carriers to install, diagnose and repair related telecommunications service issues.

5. Coordinates and confirms vendor maintenance, upkeep of equipment, and technician on-site visits.

6. Reports to Telecommunications Project Manager and assists in coordinating branch relocations, including interfacing with and coordination of vendors hired for the purpose of placing cable and installing systems and services.

7. Performs analysis of site telephone systems for the purpose of optimizing services and costs efficiencies.

8. Receives and resolves complaints regarding communications equipment and/or services.

9. Obtains quotes for any needed equipment and submits for approval, audits invoices, resolves billing inquiries, codes and submits invoices to Accounts Payable for payment.

10. Performs moves, changes and installations of Nortel systems and services.

11. Willingness to travel up to 30%.

12. Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

? Minimum of seven years? telecommunications experience.
? Certification in installation of Nortel PBX and Electronic Key Telephone equipment.
? Experience administering AVAYA PBX and Electronic Key Telephone equipment.
? Advanced MS Office Suite knowledge
? Working knowledge of Definity ECS administration, Intuity Messaging Solutions and Definity world class routing administration.
? Must understand and be able to program all telephone equipment.
? Knowledge of and experience with design and installation of internal cabling infrastructures for telecommunications and data communications systems and services.










$70.00 - $80.00 Annually
