Senior Test Engineer

We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Functional and Performance Test Automation Engineering candidate. This opportunity is permanent, full-time,


As a member of the Software Automation Test Team, this non-management hands-on position is responsible for the creation, execution, and reporting of both functional and performance software test automation. The candidate will perform these tasks on a per-project basis, as needed; both as an individual contributor and as a member of various test/development teams.
The candidate will interact with systems that range from simple applications to highly complex multi-tier geographically distributed enterprise architectures. They should be able to work with minimal supervision and be highly skilled at customer-facing and phone interview techniques.
They must be able to gather project requirements for analysis, estimation of effort.
Candidates should be highly skilled in the production of standards-based written test designs, test strategies, test reports and other technical documents in the English language.
Technical fluency in additional languages will be considered a plus.

Experience/Skills
The candidate's in-depth skills and experience should cover a broad range of tools, technologies, architectures, disciplines, methodologies, and standards. Preference will be given to candidates that are able to demonstrate this depth-&-breadth experience during comprehensive in-person interview testing. Required knowledge and skills should include, at a minimum, the following:
N-tier architectures, applications, databases, networks, and enterprise-level amalgams of current/legacy technologies
Test tools from AutomatedQA, Compuware, Mercury, Radview, Segue (certifications are a plus)
Standards-based software testing such as ISO and IEEE
SQA best-practices, methodologies, and the SDLC
Programming at medium to complex levels with multiple languages such as Asm, C/C++/C#, Java, Javascript, Perl, SQL, TKL, TSL, TSQL, VB
OO and Functional programming paradigms for data structures and algorithms
Excellent technical writing/speaking skills in the English language (additional languages a plus)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
This position requires some travel, U.S. citizenship. The candidate should be able to obtain a DoD security clearance, if required.
