I have been asked by a cutting edge, continuously expanding, well established and consistently profitable NYC based International Multimedia Information Services leader with prestigious broadcasts on TV internationally, the radio and the Internet to identify a Senior UNIX/C/C++ Instructor/Computer Science Trainer candidates with a Doctorate - Ph.D or Masters in Computer Science, Physics or Engineering with five+ years of experience in software development, relevant technical classroom training, curriculum development and software management or team leadership with Five+ years of experience in C/C++, OOD-Object Oriented Design and UNIX development including experience in high-performance UNIX programming (Solaris & Linux), (threads, sockets), STL, data structures and ideally systems programming experience, contemporary software development methodologies.

The company is experiencing phenomenal growth and is adding to staff. Ideally regionally local NY/NJ/PA/CT area candidates, but interview, travel and relocation expenses will be provided. This a global news, media, and financial services company, is looking for a uniquely qualified Senior Computer Science Trainer. The R&D Training Team works closely with the various programming groups to analyze training needs and to provide internally/externally developed job skills training, as well as professional development programs. The training programs support both the current R&D staff, as well as new R&D employees. Trainers are responsible for curriculum development as well as presentation of the various training programs and initiatives. The selected C++ Instructor/UNIX/C Trainer candidate will be training two to four, six week classes per year of approximately 35 college graduates many of which will be have their Ph.D degree.

Qualified ideally regionally local Senior UNIX/C/C++ Instructor/Computer Science Trainer candidates will have:
  • A Doctorate - Ph.D or Masters in Computer Science, Physics or Engineering or equivalent major.
  • Five+ years of experience in C/C++, OOD-Object Oriented Design and UNIX development.
  • Experience in high-performance UNIX programming (Solaris & Linux), (threads, sockets), STL and ideally systems programming experience.
  • Experience in the software engineering life cycle.
  • Relevant technical training, classroom teaching experience in business or in academia, curriculum development and software management or team leadership.
  • Experience with Real Time trading systems or financial data systems are plusses.
Qualified candidates will have clear English writing and speaking skills not requiring repeating during rapid English speaking conversation.
