Our client, located in the Princeton area, is seeking a Senior Unix Developer for an immediate full time salaried position.
Details include:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The software engineer/build master is a member of the Application Development team and will be in charge of product build-to-release cycle and code management. Will own & administer source code management system (SVN currently). Will also own & administer the Serena Builder and Mover systems and related scripts. Will be responsible for the build process for daily builds through release builds, coordinate development, integration and production releases from 4 development groups, including code propagation through multiple releases, and work with Release Management team to ensure completeness, coherence and consistency of the releases.

Will also be working closely with the development teams to ensure good code management, structure, design and build processes.

Administer patch-build-release process. Will define and document best practices with respect to SCM, development and integration environments, tools and related processes, educate, mentor and enforce SCM best practices. Will identify, document and help manage application platform configurations for Java and SQL, including WebLogic.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Must be experienced in UNIX, shell scripting and Perl
-Must possess a minimum 8+ years of software development/testing experience
-General experience with SCM and Change Management systems with in depth experience in Subversion (SVN) including merging across multiple branches and code conflict resolution is a strong plus
-Experience with build and deploy management systems (Serena, Maven, Ant, Anthill, make, etc) on Unix/Linux/Windows with experience in Serena a strong plus.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and knows when to escalate build issues
-Experience with software development best practices, SDLCs and software development methodologies
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-Broad experience with and/or exposure to Java, PL/SQL, C/C++ and Scripting
-Knowledge of programming language(s), software development tools and environment(s), systems analysis, knowledge of relational database concepts and system architecture.
-BEA WebLogic experience is a plus.
-Project management experience is a plus
-Financial Services industry knowledge is a plus
