Description
Genesis10 is currently searching for a Senior Unix System Administrator in Weehawken, NJ.
As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for building SUN Solaris servers and configuring third party tools like Veritas VM, VXfs, netbackup and SAN.
- You will be responsible for implementing internal compliance requirements and procedures and ensuring servers are compliant with our client's standards.
- You will be responsible for day-to-day support issues, projects and production application deployments.
- You will also interface with Application Support groups and other technology organizations (Siteminder, Load Balancing, LDAP, Unix Engineering, etc) on projects and support issues.
- You will be required to provide on-call support on a rotating basis with the other members of the team.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also function as a team player is essential.
- This position plays a key role in the systems support, integration and delivery for intranet and internet WEB applications.df-tc

Experience/Skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 5+ years experience with Solaris OS, NIS+, DNS, NFS, Networking
- Experience with the following technologies: SAN, clustering, VERITAS products like VM, VXFS, Cluster and Netback
- Experience with security tools like SEOS, eTrust
- Strong scripting skills
- Familiarity with DMZ, firewalls and security tools is also essential
- Web server, application server knowledge is a plus
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong focus on quality and customer service
- Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Experience working for a large financial institution is also highly desired.
