Senior VB.NET Developer

• Provide senior level contribution to development team responsible for the implementation Web based applications using the .NET Framework and SQL Server technologies
• Work in a collaborative development environment to provide guidance and technical direction to team members
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology team members to define & analyze requirements for enhancements and new product development in a fast growing software-as-a-service business
• Prepare technical designs, write code, perform code reviews, perform debugging and unit testing.
• Responsible for the timely development and delivery of high-quality software in an Agile Scrum based environment while ensuring that the team adheres to architecture strategy, design patterns, and best practices
• Work closely with fellow development staff and product management to document standards and procedures for the definition of reference architectures ('architecture roadmap')

Required Skills:

• Bachelor s degree in computer-science with 10+ years of applicable work experience with at least 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Senior Developer or Technical Team Lead with the Microsoft .NET Architecture framework, specifically with a VB.NET layered architecture supporting a high-volume, high-performance 24x7x365 Web based application environment
• 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Analysis, application design patterns.
• 3+ years of experience with Web services, WSDL, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), XML, XSD, AJAX
• 5+ years of experience with MS SQL server, leveraging SQL 2005 features in developing optimized database and T-SQL code
• Experience with .NET 3.0+ technologies including WCF, WPF, and WF, SQL Server 2005/SSIS
• Experience with ASP.NET UI and charting controls like Telerik and Dundas a strong plus
• Experience leveraging open source development and software configuration management (SCM) tools (such as Subversion, NUnit, CruiseControl.Net, NCover, MSBuild, NAnt, FxCop) a plus
• Extensive experience with design patterns, system architectural concepts and frameworks
• Technical and infrastructure expertise in high performance Website systems based on VB.Net/IIS and performance tuning/scaling of such systems
• Extremely strong collaboration, mentoring, and communication skills a must
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
• High level of flexibility and ability to persevere through periods of significant change and challenge in the business environment
• Microsoft certifications, particularly a MCTS Certification in a.Net Framework track a plus.
