The SVP of Technical Operations is responsible for overseeing the projects, equipment, security and staff involved in the implementation, maintenance and operations of a 24x7 global environment.

The SVP is responsible for set up and maintenance of all datacenter equipment, networks, office environments, system software as well as all production, test and development environments.

The SVP is responsible for developing and enforcing overall systems and network architecture, managing the operational staff, setting project dates and priorities within overall corporate goals and creating and enforcing department policies and procedures. Network and Systems Operations includes all Systems Administrators, Network Analysts, Desktop Support, Information Security Management and Quality Assurance associates.

Key Functions:

Development, operations and maintenance of 24x7 multi-data center multi-market environment that is scalable and can handle projected growth.


Responsible for ensuring that ade
quate backup and business resumption plans are in place in case of planned or unplanned outages.


Review and evaluate hardware and software products for acquisition.

Oversee testing process both manual and automated to ensure the quality of changes to the system.


Define, communicate and enforce
policies, procedures and standards for the department.


Mentor
key technical staff.


Manage the development of technical

Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.


Serve as a technical resource, as needed, to ensure all project deliverables are met on sche
dule



Responsible for recruiting new associates within the
operational
area



Develop relationships and interfaces with other areas of the company to ensure alignment with company goals and priorities.


Keep current with new technologies and trends to ensure
company maintains technological edge.


Participate in corporate planning and budgeting
