SUMMARY:

One of our clients is looking for a Senior Visual C++ developer. This person will be responsible for designing, coding and unit testing software solutions, building and packaging software releases to QA and writing documentation in the form of design documents, installation guides and release notes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: writing code for software enhancement or new functionality. Conduct code reviews. Participate in pair programming with team members. Unit testing using test tools or indigenous test scripts. Integration testing with components exercising product's APIs. Package and release software to quality assurance. Write supporting release documents. Writing detailed design documents. Review design documents and test plans. Provide support to production operation teams and implementation teams as needed. Assist other team members

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant field, 5+ years experience in the software industry designing, implementing and supporting multiple software projects/products, thorough understanding of Visual C++, Visual Basic, MFC, ATL COM/DCOM, demonstrated experience in developing applications requiring Socket communications over TCP/IP, demonstrated experience with multi-threaded applications, understanding of data and object modeling design methodologies, demonstrated experience with Oracle Database, demonstrated experience with developing MMC snap-ins, demonstrated expeirence with creating WISE Installs kits, ability to comprehend and communicate technical information, experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred, experience with PRO*C compiler for Oracle is preferred, requires occasional early morning or overnight maintenance support for planned events.
