Senior Visual Designer or sr Graphic Designer or UI DesignerLocation: Emeryville, CASkills: UI designer , Visual Designer , Graphic Designer , corporate website , E-commerce website Job Description:As a Senior Interaction Designer , you'll be responsible for helping to translate business and technology concepts into world-class interaction design. You'll need to be a creative thinker with a strong attention to detail. You would be responsible for designing new and enhanced functionality for the company with an emphasis on usability. The role requires well-demonstrated skills in interaction design , solidly informed by usability principles , user interface design standards , and best practices. Responsibilities:* Define and lead interaction design efforts across the business , including establishing , enhancing and owning standards and guidelines for User Experience team* Produce quality interaction design , wireframes/mockups that merge business and customer needs with technological capabilities* Successfully communicate conceptual ideas * Create interaction assets and other visual elementsMust Have:* 5 years of experience in interaction design* 3 years in consumer web application design* Worked as a designer for a high-traffic consumer e-commerce site * Proven skills in task modeling , wire frame and user flow diagramming , usability testing , information synthesis , conceptual modeling , task modeling , information architecture , UI design principles , human factors , User Centered Design , interaction design , usability methodologies , industry standards and trends and platform standards. * Ability to understand e-commerce marketing objectives (on-line consumer experience , site navigation , content merchandising and promotion , conversion metrics) and translate them into design strategies and solutions* General understanding of how to design for current web technologiesNice to Have:* Working knowledge of personalization , and social networking concepts * Experience designing for complex flash-based applications* Be prepared to show interim deliverables as well as final work , in the interview process* Familiar with information architecture concepts and creating sitemaps and interaction flows* BS , BA or BFA major in design or a related field* Passion for digital photographydf-tc
