Description

The key roles of a senior designer entail supporting the art director from both a creative and administrative perspective, managing large projects across multiple mediums and mentoring junior staff. Similar to an art director the senior designer serves as a single point of contact for the client, which helps to minimize design dilution and maintain a consistent visual approach within the design options. Senior designers also mentor and support the junior team members through project development and performance management.

The Senior Designer will also assist the Information Design team in determining the structure, flow and overall user experience. This is a senior level staff position and is an excellent opportunity for the right person - offering unrivaled opportunities and a chance to work and grow with an established and well-known leader in the region.

Experience with creative leadership focusing on cross mediums is beneficial to this position. A senior designer must possess strong communication skills with the ability to articulate both visual and interactive direction to both client and internal staff. An understanding of brand development and enhancement is also beneficial for this role.

Experience/Skill Requirements

=C2=B7 Must have strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as mastery of the creative disciplines.

=C2=B7 Candidates must have 4+ years visual design experience - specifically in the areas of UI, web site (intra, extra, public) and custom applications and multimedia design.

=C2=B7 3+ years Information Architecture or Usability experience with a Web and/or Interface focus and a strong understanding of Internet and Multimedia technologies (front and back-end) is a must.

=C2=B7 Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and similar applications required.

=C2=B7 A strong understanding of designing site functionality, interaction, site architecture and data flow, user interfaces, and intuitive navigation schemes is also required.

=C2=B7 Hands-on Web development experience building sites in a professional or academic setting.

=C2=B7 20% Travel Required
