72315 This is a great opportunity to help this Boston based financial services company re-build their entire voice & data networks. You should have previous experience upgrading global networks to a cutting edge, converged messaging environment.

DESCRIPTION:
The Infrastructure Engineer for Voice & Data will be part of the Infrastructure Team in the Information Technology department. Under the direction of Senior Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for enterprise wide telecommunications and its supporting technologies. You will work with the Infrastructure Team and management to revitalize the global telecommunications strategy, and lead in its design, implementation, and maintenance.

- Provide direction for global telecommunications strategy leveraging voice and data network integration.

- Design, evaluate and engineer deployment of data and telecommunications products and services.

- Participate in selection, management and maintenance of vendor relationships.

- Solution and product selection based on requirements.

- WAN performance and availability.

- Provide guidance and oversight to mobile phone administrator.

TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:

- TDM and IP Telephony (Nortel, Avaya)

- Octel Messaging

- Unified messaging platforms

- Cisco Routers and protocols

- Extreme Networks Equipment

- Multi-location WAN environments including Frame-Relay, MPLS, and Metro-Ethernet

- L2 and L3 Switching, QOS, OSPF

- TCP/IP

- Sniffer and network traffic analysis tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors Degree experience in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Networking preferred.

- A minimum of five years of experience telecommunications and networking.
