Description
Position: Senior Web Designer

Expected Hire Date: Q3 2006

Reports to: VP, Marketing


Must be an independent, self-motivated, creative professional with a passion for interactive design and an understanding of the online networking space.

Key Functions:
Develop online advertising, web pages and web based promotions for Company and its subsidiaries.
Lead the overall brand design strategy and implementation for Company and its subsidiaries.
Responsible for conceptualization and design of user interface standards, aesthetics and visual attitude & tone of Company related websites.
Oversee and manage other internal designers, design agencies and freelancers, as appropriate.

Essential functions:
Design and develop various online and offline marketing promotions for Company and its subsidiaries (including but not limited to: web pages, widgets, online ads, templates, printed materials).
Constant quality control of the various brands and their appropriate design and imagery.
Establish and execute web design processes and production.
Internal production experience and the ability to facilitate and manage external production vendors to deliver on-time and on-budget.
Supervise external web-design and traditional offline marketing agencies.

Essential Skills:
Must have strong experience with html, javascript, CSS, Flash, Ajax and inDesign
Must have strong typographic and web-design skills
Ability to think and operate strategically, and the ability to make decisions and succeed under tight deadlines

Job Latitude:
? Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in keeping with the company culture
? Ability to be self-motivated and the ability to motivate cross-functional teams


Physical Demands:
May require long and/or irregular hours, especially during product rollouts

Reasoning ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to quickly comprehend new technologies and techniques and apply them.

Language skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education / Experience:
Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask effectively
Thrive in a fast paced on-time deliverable environment.
