ACS Education Solutions seeks an energetic self-starter to lead our ASP developement efforts. This role demands both hands-on work and the ability to work on projects across the organization.

This position is a senior-level professional, competent to work on complex projects and able to apply an in-depth knowledge of engineering/automation concepts, practices and procedures. This role is requires a canidate that acts independently, operating with only general direction. Incumbents are responsible for the installation, development, and customization of software system elements.

Preparation of detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Application of configuration management procedures for changes to the software.

Participation in the development and preparation of documentation for, but not limited to, procedural, program and user documentation

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience, ideally as a lead developer
    * High level of proficiency in ASP a must. Good working knowledge of Oracle a plus.
    * Basic tools including Visual Interdev, Photoshop, DHTML, Javascript, Oracle.
    * Demonstrated understanding and experience with web technologies: ASP, Javascript, HTML, DHTML
    * Expertise in web application design
    * Understanding of 508 regulations
    * Self Service oriented design experience
    * Understanding of and experience with government sites a plus
    * Strong interpersonal and communications skills
    * Self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions
    * 5+ years of programming and application development experience.
