Senior Web Developer - Sharepoint 2007, C#, ASP, SQL Server

What you will be doing:
You'll be a key (Sr. level) member of our Web development position in the Information Systems department. Responsible for providing technical and strategic direction to the Firm for Web based initiatives. Responsible for providing technical leadership in Web based development projects for Internet, Intranet and Extranet. This individual through their experience, talent, and ability to on top of the ever changing trends in technology, will provide the necessary understanding and skill to deliver distributed Web applications in a visually consistent and secure fashion.

What a typical work day looks like:
  • Interact effectively with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality results of products and services.
  • Integrate 3rd party Portal Solutions with custom developed modules and components.
  • Design and develop visual and functional specifications for Internet, Intranet and Extranet Websites.
  • Integrate and/or develop Web based components of Financial and Operational systems.
  • Create Web application models, methods, and tools that allow others to easily develop and integrate their projects into existing Web contexts.
  • Develop interactive Web applications utilizing SharePoint2007, .NET, C# VB,ASP.Net, and AJAX.
  • Work with practice group liaisons and department managers to publish practice group and departmental information on the Internet, Intranet and Extranet Websites.
  • Advise upon and enforce informational contexts and se
  • Ability to lead project meetings, design sessions and technical reviews.

What you need to qualify:
5 years minimum experience in Software Development in a team environment.
Experience in a professional services environment with either a Law firm or the Legal industry knowledge and experience being a preference.
Experience with Peoplesoft HRMS, iManage Document Management System or CMS Open Financial systems
Other preferred skills include: J2EE, JRUN, JAVA, JavaScript, Business Objects, Crystal Reports/Crystal Enterprise 8.0 and above
Active Server Pages (ASP)
ADO
SQL Server 2000/2005
Win2000 Operating Systems/MS Office 2007.
VBScript and VBA
C#
Background in JSP, COM or DCOM is a plus.
Strong background in development, implementation and maintenance of Web based applications.
Paid working experience with big revenue employers ($100m or Fortune 1000 caliber)
Can handle complex projects under aggressive deadlines
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or similar discipline from an accredited university
Stable background that nicely combines your progression up the ladder in IT with loyalty to your employers rather than lots of job hopping
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written).
Must be able to understand and articulate business requirements to technical and the non-technical staff members
