Hi we are currently looking for a web developer with the following experience. Someone who has developed multiple web based sales systems, customized the website or on line ordering. Below is a description of what we are looking for.

Short Description:
The Senior Web Developer works with other members of the team to deliver high quality web-based sales solutions for the health insurance industry and is responsible for all advanced aspects of presentation-tier and middle-tier development.

Complete Description:
As a dedicated member of the Development team delivering web-based sales solutions for the health insurance industry, the Senior Web Developer is responsible for all presentation-tier and middle-tier development and customization. In addition to serving as a primary development resource during construction phases, the Senior Web Developer will also participates in other phases of the SDLC, including documentation of requirements, development of specifications, and defect resolution.

The Senior Web Developer will use ASP w/VBScript, ASP.NET w/C#, COM+ w/VB 6.0, .NET Framework w/C#, and XML/XSL running on Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows 2003 platforms. The Senior Web Developer works closely with the project technical lead to define application architecture and integration with the database tier. The Senior Web Developer is also responsible for maintenance and administration of pre-production code environments. The Senior Web Developer will interact daily with project managers, business analysts, database developers and other web developers, as well as provide mentorship and leadership for junior-level and intermediate-level web developers. With product and methodology knowledge gained from progressive project experience at, the Senior Web Developer may also assume a lead project role, in which technical project management and architectural decisions become a greater share of the responsibility of this position.

The Senior Web Developer candidate must have a minimum of 6 years development or architect experience in which the largest part of that time has been spent delivering applications built on Microsoft web-based technologies. Through an architectural screening exercise administered by the Senior Web Developer candidate must be able to show, with a high degree of proficiency, the ability to analyze software requirements and document technical specifications for a web-based solution. The Senior Web Developer must also be able to demonstrate a high level of competence with MS Active Server Pages through a brief programming assignment given at the time of the interview. The Senior Web Developer must have experience with the full software development life cycle, with emphasis on design and documentation activities. Lead experience with teams of 5-10 developers is highly desired. The Senior Web Developer must also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and possess a client-focused attitude (Consulting and/or Insurance experience is a plus).
