Description
Project:
Corporate initiative to develop enhancements to an existing web-enabled quoting application specific to health insurance sales by brokers and provide new capabilities using the latest technologies.

Role/Responsibilities:
Provide senior level programming and design, based on component and database models. Design and establish the framework and templates for the new development initiatives in .Net (ASP.NET User Control - reusable code). Must be able to communicate well with team members.

Req'd Experience:
Strong VB/ASP, .Net coding experience. Microsoft technology Web based application in a multi-tier (distributed objects/COM DCOM) architecture. Experience in establishing .Net architecture and infrastructure that the new development will be modeled after. New componenets must work together with existing VB6 components as well as .Net services that are currently being built. Strong written and oral communication skills. Solid understanding of relational databases concepts. Senior level expertise in Oracle PL/SQL. Ability to follow team protocol and development standards and practices.

Desired Experience:
Proven ability to formulate business requirements into design specification. Experience with conversion to .Net from VB6/ASP. Ability to provide justification explanations for the approaches being taken. Project planning and scheduling.df-tc
