Description
Our client is seeking a very experienced Senior Web Developer for a 7 month to longer contract. The company is located conveniently off I5 and I84 in NE Portland. This major company offers a fantastic work environment with a professional work ethic, a business casual attire dress code and a great environment. The Senior Web Developer leverages their expertise in enterprise content management, web content management systems, and web sites delivery. This role also requires skills to conduct analysis, create system specifications, and develops, tests and implements solutions. Responsibilities for this position include:• Consult and provide direction to clients at every level of the organization.• Act as the subject matter expert and consult with clients and IT in support of the company’s IT strategy and overarching business requirements. • Develop and implement strategies to execute large scale and complex projects through vision.• Act as the technical lead for highly complex projects related to the development of new systems, applications or technology capabilities in support of business goals.• Provide technical direction for projects and engage in all phases of the development cycle.Preferences:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.• Five years experience in web application design, development, and/or installation.• Project management skills and the ability to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, and determine specifications, schedules, and deliverables. • Communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with users to understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions.• Knowledge of current Enterprise Content Management and web technologies, tools, applications, and vendors.• Advanced knowledge of web development techniques and experience with web content management systems.• Strong understanding of structured analysis and technical design concepts.

Experience/Skills
Requirements for this position include the following:• Outstanding knowledge of relevant technology, tools, and middleware including Apache, J2EE, Java, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, Javascript, and SQL is critical.• Expert technical knowledge with hands-on experience managing systems development in new and current computing architectures and environments. • Experience with FileNet P8 Web Site Manager (Day Communique) or Microsoft Sharepoint preferred.For immediate consideration, apply now or email john.franzese@rht.com
