Description
Seeking a Senior Windows Developer to join fast-paced Windows Development team in Kansas City. In this exciting position, you'll remain focused on Win32 programming while leading and surrounding yourself with some of the most talented professionals. Your work will have a direct impact and help us continue to be a leader in the Internet marketing industry. You will work on an exciting and very cutting edge Internet desktop application. The responsibilities include development of an LSP (layered service provider) using straight Win32 code. This C based application targets Win98 and up and has a customer base in the millions.

Senior Software Engineer position will be charged with:

. Engineering the product to its "next level" through the development of an LSP (layered service provider) using straight Win32 code.
. Integrating new methods, technologies, and offerings into an existing architecture.
. Gathering requirements.
. Technical quality-enhancement.
. Writing queries for web based reporting.

Experience/Skills
QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a senior level, hands-on professional with the following qualifications:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
. 5-10 years of C/C++ development experience
. 3-5 years developing client/server applications using Win32 C/C++.
. Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and platforms to include LANs, software and hardware, programming and database techniques.
. Extensive knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
. Strong Windows GUI programming skills.
. Experience translating requirements into solutions.

Additionally, very qualified candidates would possess the following additional traits:

. Experience writing Internet desktop applications.
. Experience with kernel level or device driver development using Windows DDK.
. Experience writing self-updating applications.
. Experience developing against a SDLC.
. Strong written and oral communications.
. Windows application integration with Oracle.
. Ability to work independently with minimal technical assistance.
. Experience in developing and leading a team of programmer.

In addition to skill sets, this individual should:

1. Not be averse to working sixty (60) hour weeks (a typical work day from 8:00 - 7:30 pm);
2. Be hands-on and capable of executing rapidly as an individual in addition to a manager;
3. Enjoy rapid change within a small, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture;
4. Have a superior business intellect in addition to a legal intellect.
