The Senior Engineer is tasked with implementing Custom Hosting solutions, execution of the Quality Assurance program, and has responsibility for conducting training for the Technical Operations group. Validates the Operational Readiness of new products pre-customer release and serves as the technical escalation point for the DCO and CEC organization.

The desired candidate for the Senior Engineer has high level systems administrator experience with multiple operating systems (Windows/RHEL/Solaris) specializing in one, as well as a high level of competence dealing with server/storage hardware and associated configurations.

This individual must be able to demonstrate an advanced level of skill with the broad range of hardware and software supported by NTTA to its customer base.

Familiarity with common scripting and programming languages such as PHP, PERL, Python, PowerShell and .net are desired.

Must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of SAN, Backup concepts, and network essentials at a troubleshooting level.

Related Software Experience:
IIS, Apache, Sendmail, Exchange, MySQL, Microsoft Windows, RedHat Linux, SUN Solaris 9/10, Windows Clustering, MS SQL Clustering, Veritas Clustering, scripting (PERL/PHP etc.), TCP/IP, UDP, Network Subnetting, Switching, DNS

Serve as a Technical Trainer for personnel within the Technical Operations organization in order to raise the level of technical service and knowledge.

Assume responsibility for interfacing with and performing internal systems support for the NTTA IT organization.

Complete lifecycle technical support for high profile customer solutions.

Perform as the highest level of technical escalation for the Technical Operations Organization

Drive operations improvement through continuous review and refinement of processes and supporting systems. Monitor operation for training and improvement opportunities.

Experience/Skills
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE or MCITP) and/or Sun Certified Systems Administrator for Solaris and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and/or Red Hat Certified Engineer

B.S in Computer Science or related preferred
