Description
State Agency is seeking a short term (6 months) contractor to perform Senior Wireless Architect tasks. The selected individual must possess extensive experience with wireless environment and security and will provide both wireless Security Information Technology consultative and wireless technical architecture support.

1) Experience participating in large scale "state of the art" wireless projects crossing a myriad of functional areas
2) Strong security technical background and understanding of wireless related technology components including, but not limited to, mobile devices and handhelds, as well as middleware and integration software.
3) Extensive skills in "state of the art" technologies and an in-depth understanding of enterprise-level technical security architectures, hardware platforms, and the North Carolina Statewide Technical Architecture
4) Experience with wireless implementations in a HIPAA and ISO 17799 covered environment, and management of the projected impacts to existing HIPAA compliancy efforts
5) Demonstrated success in the design and development of the security infrastructure, network architecture and data formats for wireless implementations.
6) Indepth knowledge and experience in wireless security technical and industry standards.
7) Experience leading group efforts
8) Experience with strategic planning
9) Experience with Impact analysis/Gap analysis
10) Technical writing/Documentation skills
11) Presenting skills
12) Experience with Security Issues & Risk Management
13) Perform project activities (gathering both wireless security requirements and coordinate technical requirements, functional requirement gathering, user interface requirement gathering
and data modeling)
14) Technical Security Architecture on large wireless, complex automation implementation projects.
15) Experience with security implementation of both COTS and customized applications.
16) An in-depth understanding of distributed computing using N-Tier, Distributed processing, Client/Server, Internet and Intranet technologies.
