Description
Fortune 500 transportation company seeks a Senior level Network/Perimeter Security Technical Analyst for an 11 month contract, possible contract for hire position in Memphis, TN. Position requires a minimum of 5 years experience with Network Security and Administration. A CCSE (Checkpoint Certified Security Expert) certification is required. Required skills include: Check Point Firewall 1, v 3.0, NG a PLUS, VPN 1, UNIX Shell, PERL, and Java Script. Person must be able to "hit the ground running", especially within the following targeted areas: Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks, Intrusion Detection, and CERT/CIRT. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) desirable. CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer) any Cisco certification desirable.

Responsibilities and job duties include: Responsible for security infrastructure installation and system administration of common data security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private networks and others. Supports the implementation and adherence to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of information security services. Conducts risk assessments and risk analysis to help the organization assess level of exposure for mission and business critical systems. Develops solutions that will enhance corporation's objective to secure and guard enterprise, perimeter and overall network infrastructure. Develops secured remote access strategy as defined by Information Security, with special consideration for encryption, authentication and authorization. Develop standards required to ensure properly applied upgrades, repairs, modifications, and replacements of information security devices or software are conducted by support organizations. Participates in Incident Response efforts targeted at prevention, detection, containment and correction of security breaches. Experience with Systems Administration (SUN Solaris, Linux, Cisco IOS), Firewall Administration, Scripting (Unix shell, PERL, Java Script), and various encryption, authentication, protocols is desired.
