Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing and delivering fully tested software applications from business requirements and/or program specification on time, and according to specifications. This includes creating appropriate program documentation and adhering to standard procedures and methodologies. Seeks and assumes additional responsibility willingly. Takes initiative to identify and implement improvements. Analyzes existing systems for optimal performance and makes tuning recommendations as required. Completes all tasks at an accelerated pace, with accuracy, quality, and efficiency, while consistently following corporate policies and methodology procedures. Development: Provides technical innovation to satisfy clients most challenging business requirements. The LPA will contribute to formulation of scope and objectives for a system. The LPA demonstrates the ability to design user-friendly systems from limited requirements by seeking the necessary input from business & technical sources. The LPA applies technical knowledge and skills to manage the design, development and delivery of complex projects. Produces detailed documentation and provides technical leadership and guidance to junior programmers involved in the project. Resolves complex problems even with little information given. The LPA takes into consideration capacity limitations, operating time and form of desired results. The LPA will demonstrate leadership by example in proper use of established processes and methodologies. The LPA will adhere to current system architectural design and concepts as they relate to programming technologies and data structures. Knowledge: Serves as a system expert, taking a lead role in the application of his or her expertise by supplying solutions to complex, technical tasks. The LPA acts as a technical consultant to internal and/or external customers. The LPA will maintain a working knowledge of functional changes to the system. The Lead Programmer Analyst is a recognized authority based on proven mastery and successful application of his or her area(s) of expertise. Has a broad knowledge of the overall system, and understands the interaction of the assigned functional area within the system. Has the ability to adapt to different programming languages, data structures, and hardware platforms.

Required Skills:
Senior PA-Four year degree and 4, or 6 (without a degree) plus years of professional experience programming in a mainframe environment including COBOL, CICS, and/or DB2, IMS, and TSO. Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Lead PA-Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience programming in a mainframe environment including COBOL, CICS, and/or DB2, IMS and TSO. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications.

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of TS2 or other credit card processing systems.
