Senior. Power Supply Design Engineer (Analog)

Required Skills:
An expert in analog electronics to the component level with extensive knowledge of the operation of Op-amps, PWM chips, Power MOSFETs, Analog mutilplexers, A/D converters, discrete devices. This person must be experienced in all aspects of magnetics design and fabrication techniques. Proven circuit level designs in the following areas: DC/DC, DC/AC power conversion, high-precision filtering with analog signal conditioning and sampling, motor drive electronics for DC brushless motors.

This position requires a strong analytical background with an emphasis in the high-reliability military-aerospace market. Able to perform all types of analyses: Stress, reliability, worst-case, FMEA. The candidate is able to develop MIL-STD-461 compliant designs and participate in the EMI/EMC validation of the design. The candidate should be experienced with engineering tools: MathCad, Pspice, Excel, schematic capture. This person must have small-signal modelling experience applicable to analog simulation. The person must have a working knowledge of feedback loops at the circuit level to perform stability analysis. Practical knowledge of operation within radiation environments is desirable. Candidates must have the ability to apply de-rating to the component level based on parameter degradation as a result of radiation exposure.
