Description
Administer and support the Intel/AMD hardware standards for our client. Administer and support the Windows Server environment, such as the AD domain, DNS/DHCP infrastructure, Group Policy standards. Administer and support the Citrix environment. Participate in project meetings to with the Lines of Business. Provide 3rd-tier support on Intel hardware/software issues. Evaluate new hardware/software technologies for the Intel/AMD platform to determine their relevance for implementation into the environment. Administer and document installations of hardware/software packages for use on an enterprise-class level.
- Installation and configuration of software on servers.
- Testing of various applications on servers.

In order to be considered for employment, the qualified candidate will meet the following criteria:
- A MCSE with a concentration in Windows 2003 server.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience with Windows-based servers systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or business or the work experience equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience of 3-5 years with PC hardware and software configuration.
- Experience of working on 3-5 server projects -- list examples in your application.
- Good knowledge of supporting MS Windows domain architecture.
- Strong understanding of how Active Directory works within Windows 2003 server.
- Experience working with Active Directory.
- Strong working knowledge of Sun, IBM and/or HP Intel/AMD server hardware.
- 3-5 years minimum experience of installing, configuring and account creation for Windows 200x server.
- Strong knowledge with Citrix XP and/or Presentation Server 4.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of other server operating systems such as Linux.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
- Experience with VMWare ESX Server.
- Experience with Server Consolidation initiatives.
- VB Scripting experience.
- Working knowledge of server support tools such as Systems Insight Manager.
- Knowledge of AIX and Solaris.
- Knowledge of Norton Anti-Virus software for servers.
- Working knowledge of Tivoli for a server environment.
