Server Build Engineer
Job Responsibilities: Install platform software such as Windows Server and SQL Server onto servers for use in development and test environments Install custom IT application code onto servers for use in test environments Follow strict code propagation guidelines to create a repeatable software deployment process Author and refine server side IT application installation instructions Coordinate with a geographically dispersed team of builders inside and outside of regular business hours Assist production support team in application installation Configure server to comply with security/privacy/accessibility policies Administer tools used by the project team (e.g. source code control, document management, bug tracking, project management, and team site systems) Communicate status of builds Attend team meetings and otherwise collaborate with team on build planning and execution

Experience/Skills
Qualifications: A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or 4 years related job experience Experience working on large, enterprise sle IT projects Knowledge of SQL administration and DTS packaging scheduling Knowledge of Microsoft scripting technologies such as VB and ASP Experience configuring and executing batch jobs in a production IT environment Experience administering source code control systems Experience administering document management systems Experience management hardware inventory Ability to troubleshoot and configure Compaq Proliant and Dell PowerEdge servers
