Description
TASKS:
Tasks performed by the consultant may include, but not be limited to, the following:
1.Lead server administration functions under Project Manager, including designing, configuring, installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware, operating systems; as well as testing and optimizing performance.
2.Support, troubleshoot, and correct Microsoft Exchange 2003, server management systems, Internet filtering, Windows IIS, and Veritas backup and disaster recovery services.
3.Plan and implement the upgrade of hardware, software, and operating systems in Microsoft Windows environment.
4.Maintain and upgrade the existing network management software (OpenView).
5.Train technical staff, transfer knowledge, and document completed work.
6.Assess security vulnerabilities and recommend security solutions and policies/procedures to secure the servers.
7.Coordinate activities with vendors to support existing and new systems.
8.Monitor the storage allocation space used by servers using EMC networked storage solution (Symmetrix).
9.Lead the design, plan, and implementation tasks in projects managed by the Project Manager.
10.Assist in creating the Statements of Work (SOWs) for services such as installation, configuration, data center upgrades, and security assessments.
11.Lead a team to support information security incidents including internal violations, hacker attacks, viruses, and system access violations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1.Must demonstrate three years of recent full-time experience within the last four years working as the primary administrator or as a senior consultant supporting the following technologies:
a.Microsoft Exchange 2003 supporting 1,000+ users, b.Microsoft 2000 and 2003, c.Microsoft IIS 5.0 & IIS 6.0, d.Microsoft SMS2.Candidate must include a minimum of three (3) reference contacts.
