POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in setting the vision and direction of Corporate Infrastructure group and managing the Infrastructure group. Ensures that network infrastructure, systems and processes support and anticipates information technology needs. Under general supervision, the Server Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Server Operating System and service related applications in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations, system maintenance, performance and capacity analysis and improvement integration for systems. Performs security patch and version upgrades on servers in accordance with corporate guidelines. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine system audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Processes and coordinates customer service requests. Troubleshoots technical system issues. Provide status reports, problem summaries, and project status to supervisor as required.

Experience/Skills
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in computer science or business administration recommended; knowledge of theories, principles and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree required. Bachelors degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in Server Engineering; Experience in four or more of the following: 1. Windows server, Windows enterprise licensing, Windows exchange 2. Storage technologies including EMC SANs 3. VMware ESX 4. SCCM 5. UPS technologies and backup power generators. 6. Data center layout and design 7. Enterprise monitoring technologies NetQOS, Orion, Whats-Up Gold, etc. Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and JD Edwards preferred. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) optional; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) optional; ITIL optional
