Description
Experience and job skills:
Provide both proactive and reactive Server System Administration support for Windows Server 2k & 2003, Exchange 2k & 2003, Blackberry Servers, and other associated Windows Servers and Vmware.
Support existing staff by leveraging an in-depth knowledge of AD design/implementation.
Provide advanced support of AD and Exchange 2003.
Provide project support for Exchange 2000 migration to 2003.
Provide support as needed for server events to drive them to resolution and assist problem management activities to find root cause and define corrective action.
Complete Server advanced administration and configuration based on service requests and industry best practices.
Provide basic analytical support to monitor server performance and capacity data on a regular basis to identify potential opportunities for improving the availability and performance for servers and their applications.
Provide Systems Engineering Services in support of ongoing IT projects.
Assist in the development of best practice process and procedures.
Utilize the customers ticket system in support of all incidents and service requests to provide accurate, timely and detailed data in response to all tickets being worked.

Experience and job skills:
5-7 years of working experience. Years experience providing server (hardware and software) operations support in a network of 5,000 nodes or more, supporting Windows based servers.
5+ years work experience troubleshooting server/desktop/laptop hardware.
3+ years work experience with Active Directory, Exchange, OWA, DNS, DHCP, WINS, HTTP, SSH and SSL deployments.
Strong knowledge of server monitoring technologies using SNMP, Mib based systems or Microsoft???s MOM. 2 years experience deploying and maintaining MOM environment preferred.
3+ years work experience with servers connected in a Cisco based environment. Good working knowledge of Cisco IOS a plus.
Excellent communication (oral, listening, and writing) skills.
Strong problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to interact with inside and outside IT services infrastructure.
Excellent customer interaction skills to the IT Management level.
Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum guidance
Leadership skills and knowledge sharing
Good analytical approach to problem solving and root cause analysis.
