Description
Immediate need for a Server Technician. Performs general installation, support, and troubleshooting for servers systems. Configures and maintains server hardware and related peripherals (tap drives, UPS units, etc.). Installs, configures, and maintains Novell NetWare operating systems. This position requires a significant amount of in-the field work. Requirements: AA degree in related field or three years of work experience in similar field, plus three years of work experience directly related to the position. Experience configuring and maintaining Novell NetWare versions 5 and 6. Experience configuring and maintaining Intel-based server hardware. Must have own, reliable transportation, and a valid NV drivers license.
Desired Qualifications: Experience configuring and maintaining HP Proliant server hardware. Experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 servers. Experience configuring and maintaining Linux or other UNIX-based operating systems on an Intel Pentium-based hardware environment. Experience supporting Windows and Macintosh desktops in a NetWare environment. Novell CNE certification. Microsoft CCNE certification. A+ and Net+ certifications.
