Description
Acts as the principal client contact by managing the operations for a complex Midrange and Mainframe environment. This includes project management, capacity planning, resource allocation, problem resolution and budgetary efforts. Reviews and resolves issues affecting Company compliance, legal requirements and customer/Company objectives. Provides interpretation of data and advice to management. This senior-level management position requires strong background in Open System skills and some mainframe skills.

Also requires communication and management skills and extensive experience in overall administration/management functions, concepts and practices. Incumbent serves as a primary contact for problem resolution and information Gathering regarding daily work assignments.

Incumbent possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of Company policies and procedures to difficult assignments. Tasks are of an advanced, non-routine nature. Works under limited supervision and has functional responsibility for one or more specific areas, projects, contracts or divisions. Incumbents may have domestic or off-shore responsibility based on complexity or size of service area. Errors cause substantial delay, expense, and/or disruption.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Directs and manages various daily operations of administrative/management or technical staff for Open Systems environment with a single customer to ensure performance standards are met/contract and project commitments adhered to.

Assumes P&L responsibility for assigned clients/projects; develops budget and cost estimates and manages project/contract demands consistent with budget projections.

Determines resources allocation levels to meet project/contract commitments.

Analyzes workflow and assignments to ensure efficient/cost effective operations; develops/implements process, program or service improvements to meet such needs.

Advises staff members in resolving problems and issues that arise with internal and external customers.

Coordinates/participates in the completion of all production standards and/or makes recommendations for improvements in overall production.

Partners with senior staff in developing and marketing new client programs/service offerings as required.

Develops and/or participates in technical presentations on behalf of a given effort or related service offering.

Completes special projects as assigned.

Maintains awareness of development in field of expertise to ensure skill set/knowledge base remain current.

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

8+ years progressively responsible mainframe related experience in
administration, project management and/or accounting of technical/professional services.

Minimum of 4 years experience in successful task lead or supervisory role.

Detail orientation and good organizational Project skills.

Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills
