Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Help Desk Technician to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
The customer support technician will provide phone support for a healthcare environment. One must have a good balance between customer service, technical skills, have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn. Major responsibilities include providing customers with phone support by resolving issues, prioritizing issues, and escalating as needed. One will assist with desktop operating systems, GroupWise Email, MS Office, PC hardware, & Remote Access.

  • Knowledge in Meditech software hospital is desired
  • Microsoft and Novell certifications are preferred but not required.
  • The opportunity allows the ability to work in a dynamic environment coupled with training and substantial growth potential
  • The environment is a 24X7 challenging environment with many opportunities to support the customer

    Required Skills:
  • 1 year experience providing technical support on the phone
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PC operating systems and software applications
  • 6 months PC hardware and basic networking configuration
  • Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation
  • Requires a high level of initiative and independence
  • Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently

    Physical Requirements:
  • Vision sufficient to read standard text, read text on a computer monitor and to drive
  • Speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups
  • Independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write
  • Body strength sufficient to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations

    Desired Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Typing skills of 50-60 WPM
  • Experience with high volume, multi-tasking responsibilities

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • A+, MCSE and/or CISCO Certifications preferred
