Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Service Desk Technical Team Lead to join our team in Detroit, MI.

Job Responsibilities:
The Service Desk Technical Team Lead will be responsible for answering and resolving telephone calls from users and or appropriately escalating calls to other IT department team members. They will also need be able to take escalating calls from within the team and resolve before escalating candidate will provide a high level of customer service to users while maintaining a 70% first call closure rate. The candidate will participate in the Level 1 shift rotation and complete duties for each shift. and will also participate in the IT departments on call rotation. This position will be responsible for creating user ID's in Novell, disabling ID's and coordinate with the Desk Side Support team to ensure that PCs are imaged and in place for new users. This individual will also ensure that laptops in the reservation pool are maintained with the current load and are ready for use.

Required Skills:
  • The Service Desk Technical Team Lead will need to have 2-3 years of experience working on Help Desk and must poses leadership skills, strong customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with challenging customers and situations. They must have 2-3 years experience of PC & Windows troubleshooting. They should be familiar with Novell Administration and working and troubleshooting with GroupWise 6.5 or 7.0. This Team Lead will need to be well organized and MUST be able to multitask. They should also have a working knowledge of Networking PC's in LAN/WAN environment.

    Desired Skills:
  • A bonus for the candidate is to have a working knowledge of the following applications. Desksite, Workshare, Elite, Fine Reader, and Real Legal Binder or Live Notes and Track-IT 7.0 Enterprise.

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • The candidate will need to posses at least an Associates Degree with 2-3 years work experience on a Help Desk or a bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with 1-2 years experience on a Help Desk.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Microsoft Office Specialist. CNA or MCSA
