Description

The Support Center Analyst must present a positive, professional image to our internal clients, and will provide primary support for HP / Peregrine Systems OpenView ServiceCenter application by performing system tailoring, configuration, and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.
  • May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.
  • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.
  • Will engage HP support or utilize existing third party support relationships to resolve system issues, performance, and to maintain awareness of HP Service Center product roadmap.
  • Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes.
  • Will work closely with IS Management, Help Desk personnel and other IT technical and applications staff.
  • Translate high level business requirements into detailed design specifications.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter, can handle tight deadlines and multiple assignments.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and good verbal communication skills
  • Must have very strong PC skills with a well-developed troubleshooting ability
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience following a system development methodology as applied to configuration management of ServiceCenter tailoring, configuration and administrative activities.
  • Must be open to flexible working hours and some overtime

    Required Technical Skills:

  • Developer-Other - Expert with 2 year(s) experience. Experience with HP ServiceCenter version 6.x and above. Should have direct experience with Web Services, SCAuto and the following modules: Incident Management, Service Management, and Configuration Management.
  • ServiceCenter 6.x Tailoring - Expert with 2 year(s) experience.
  • MSSQL Database - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
  • Experience with MSSQL databases version 2005 and above.
  • Scripting experience - Intermediate with 1 year(s) experience (esp. VBScript or JavaScript) considered a plus
  • HTML/CSS – Intermediate with 1 year(s) experience. Ability to hand write HTML/CSS is desired
  • Knowledge of IIS/Tomcat – Ability to install/configure IIS and Tomcat servers

    Education Requirements:

  • Prefer a technology based bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (3-5yrs)
