Primary Purpose of this Position:

The Technical Support Project Analyst supports tasks related to automation, system enhancement, custom requests, complex report writer and managing global, company wide activity and high level projects including, but not limited to fund mergers, plan spin-offs, plan mergers and other change management. This position identifies potential problems and provides various alternatives. This role serves to evaluate current procedures related to system enhancements, and recommends and implements enhancements. The position also provides technical expertise to technical team members including instruction of classes and acts as educator/mentor for junior members of the team.

Principal Responsibilities:

* Provides support, identifies problems, and makes recommendations for process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiencies in T. Rowe Price Operations. These initiatives include tactical operational improvements, process re-engineering efforts, communications related projects, IS&T related projects and larger cross-process projects.
* Evaluates service requests for completeness; analyzes and determines the most efficient path to complete the request. Conducts research and documents findings. Responds verbally and in writing to production support inquiries. Acts as a resource/consultant in providing support to internal clients and assists Technical Support Specialists in these activities. Performs quality checks on the work of Technical Support Specialists. Assists in coordinating the day-to-day workflow for the team. Facilitates training and updates training material as required. Assesses whether the training participants have met the pre-established learning objectives. Coaches the less experienced team members.
* Manages assigned projects by project plan and project timelines. Develops and facilitates problem resolutions. Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation of each project and assesses progress and potential barriers.
* Evaluates current procedures related to systems usage. Develops recommendations for management presentation and implements enhancements to current procedures as a result of analysis.
* Assists in the development of complex Excel spreadsheets using Macro coding as necessary. Develops project proposal cost/benefit analysis for proposed system enhancements and contributes to prioritization process.
* Creates and runs custom reports as needed through Client Access Report System, T933 and T966 calculator and NEXTTI. Uses complex calculator text to perform individual and plan level transactions based on conditions and logic contained in the calculator. Stores report definitions in the form of text files that will define the report format and the logic for calculating and selecting data to be printed.

Qualifications:

* Strong understanding of plan/participant level data elements and their structure in OmniPlan/ OmniPlus Record Keeping system
* Completion of T933 training and can demonstrate proficiency
* Completion of T966 and can demonstrate proficiency
* Knowledge of NEXTTI preferred
* Knowledge of calculator text to create plan/participant level transactions
* Retirement plan record keeping experience
* Detail and deadline oriented
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to handle multiple priorities
* Demonstrated eagerness to help coworkers and process teams accomplish operating objectives
* Strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel, up to and including, recording and coding Macros
* Ability to facilitate or train associates
* Demonstrated project management ability
* Ability to lead a cross-functional team comprised of various levels from various departments
* Ability to work independently and with minimal direction
* College degree, OR a high school diploma/equivalent with a minimum of three years related work experience required
